Frequently Asked Questions
Can thread colors be changed?
Yes, you may request color schemes or thread color changes with no additional cost. Just add your preferences to the special instructions area highlighted on the order form. If using the PayPal shopping cart, please send an email with your request. Please note that thread colors may vary slightly in pictures due to photographing and individual monitor settings. Thread colors may be altered slightly to compliment colored backgrounds other than pictured. You will be contacted to verify your changes or preferences.
Check or Money Orders?
Yes, I accept personal checks. You may make Checks or Money Orders made payable to My Sewability. Payments can be sent to the address at the bottom of this page, which is you will also find on the printable orderform. Please allow an extra 7 to 10 business days for Personal Checks to clear.
Credit Cards?
Credit card payments are processed securely through PayPal.
Cost of Embroidery or Monogramming?
The fees for Embroidery or Monogramming are calculated at $1.00 per thousand stitches or a minimum fee of $3.00 for adding a name. For example a simple design or personalization of 5,000 stitches would be $5.00. There are many stock designs available for adding that custom look to your apparel. Contact me if you have interest in having a logo digitized as this would involve a one time set up fee of up to $3.00 per thousand stitches.
Receipts or Shipping?
A receipt for your purchase will be included with your order. As a home business, I do not have space for a large inventory on hand. With that in mind, if I have the item in the size and color requested, delivery time is 2 to 3 weeks depending on method of payment. If I have to order the item, please allow an extra week for delivery.
See Shipping charges listed in chart at the left.
Garment care?
- It is best to turn your embroidered product inside-out (if possible) for washing and tumble dry low, assuming the item is washable and dryable per the product care label.
- Avoid hanging embroidered items out in full sun.
- Dry cleaning is another option to preserve the quality of the embroidery.
- I recommend using a pressing cloth when ironing your garment.
- Do not put a hot iron directly on the embroidery.
